Conly Warren Ruff fell 150ft to his death while hiking with friends in Utah o, the second incident in the area in eight days.
The tragedy follows the death of Zoe McKinney, who 'lost her footing' and fell 30 feet from a ledge off a hiking trail in east Utah
Zoe, also 17, was with a group of friends on the Moab Rim trail near Kane Creek on Friday 10 February when she misstepped in what police call a 'deep, cliffy area' Zoe McKinney was reportedly hiking without equipment and fell after the group came to a steep area.
With stunning red rock formations and views, the Hurricane Overlook, where Conly fell, is a popular attraction in Utah near 600 East State Route 59.
The mountains get particularly steep in some areas and hiking deaths have been reported in previous years.
