Walking on the Sidewalk

An out-of-control car ran a red light, collided with another vehicle, and jumped up onto the curb in Brooklyn, leaving two dead and five injured.

The collision occurred  at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 64th Street in the Bensonhurst neighborhood, officials said.

Surveillance video of the crash showed a white car driving erratically at high speed, before running a red light and T-boning a dark SUV in the intersection.

The car then careens up onto the sidewalk as the SUV spins out into the roadway, with both vehicles badly mangled. The victims killed were the driver of the black SUV and a pedestrian struck in the collision.
